If you use a cheap cross-word book bought in most pound shops, you can ask the questions to the residents and giving them the first letter of the answer and a few wee hints, its amazing how is makes them think and is a good challenge for them.

I found the Safari park at Blair Drummond was a great day out, lots to see and the animals can be very entertaining.

WEDDING bells boomed out at Balclutha Court care home last week as staff gave residents a day to remember.
They arranged a mock wedding as a spot of fun and got everyone involved, with managers becoming vicars and carers becoming bridesmaids for the day.
Two of the residents, Andy McLaughlin and Anna Duncan, also played their part as the blushing brides parents.
In front of guests from the home, groom for the day Stuart Hayton married his colleague, Karen Darroch, and a great time was had by all at a reception afterwards.
Karen Dillon, the activities co-ordinator at Balclutha, said: It started off as a wee bit of fun but everyone got into the spirit of it. The residents had an absolute ball.
We have to thank Homebase for giving us an arch for the ceremony, plus Keogh and Savage, Passionara and Mystique for supplying wedding outfits.
